Transfiere 2024 launch the IV Open Call for Deep Tech Start-ups coordinated by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and EBAN. National and international start-ups with deep tech projects will have the opportunity to increase their visibility to national and international investors who are experts in the sector.

MORE BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPATING START-UPS

  • Registered Start-ups: All the registered start-ups will benefit from an access pass to the exhibition area.
  • Selected Start-ups:
    • Two access passes to the Transfiere Forum 2024.
    • Access to the networking agenda: a tool that allows you to request more than 30 B2B meetings with other visitors, potential partners and investors during the event.
    • 6 minutes presentation in front of investors, experts and municipal technicians (3 minutes pitch + 3-minute questions).

DEADLINE AND IMPORTANT DATES

  • Submission of applications: before 31th January 2024 at 23:59h.
  • Evaluation: from 30th January to 25th February.
  • Online submission to the selection committee: 22nd February.
  • Notification of selected proposals: from 26th February.
  • Deadline to confirm participation in the event: before 5th March.
  • Presentations, final voting and award ceremony will take place as part of the events planned for the event.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Each of the following requirements must be met:

  1. Be in search of investment
  2. Have been incorporated company for no more than 7 years (as of January 1st, 2024).
  3. Correct completion of the registration
  4. No having benefited from this award in the past
  5. Be a start-up with its registered office in one of the following countries:

SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection committee will use the following criteria for the pre-selection of candidates:

  • Degree in subject Deep Tech

  • Market Viability

  • Scalability

  • Environmental and social impact

  • Team suitability

  • Proven knowledge transfer or collaboration with research centres or universities

Deep Tech

Deep Tech refers to technologies with high entry barriers that require a high level of scientific knowledge to be developed and a high investment to become products or services that can reach the global markets, with a large impact on society. The big challenges facing the Deep Tech start-ups are to cross the bridge between science and innovation and to decrease uncertainty about future returns on investments. The term Deep Tech encompasses both Deep Science and Digital Techs as main subgroups.

Start-up

Independent organisation, new or of young age, with a high growth potential, aiming to create, improve and expand a scalable, innovative, technology-based product, with a high and fast growth.

Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)

The Enterprise Europe Network is the world’s largest support network for SMEs and start-ups. The Network, launched by the European Commission, is active in more than 40 countries worldwide and brings together more than 450 member organisations. In Andalucia, the Network is coordinated through Andalucía TRADE, the Public Business Agency for Economic Transformation and Development, in cooperation the Confederation of Businessesmen of Andalucia and the Andalusian Council of Chambers of Commerce.

EBAN

EBAN is the pan-European representative for the early-stage investor community gathering over 150 member organizations in more than 50 countries today. Established in 1999 by a group of pioneer angel networks in Europe with the collaboration of the European Commission and EURADA, EBAN represents a sector estimated to invest 11.4 billion Euros a year and playing a vital role in Europe’s future, notably in the funding of SMEs. EBAN fuels Europe’s growth through the creation of wealth and jobs.
