Annalisa Tessarolo is a Policy Officer in the Cluster team at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. Her work focuses on cluster policy with specific regard to industrial transition, innovation, capacity building and links with smart specialisation, and she is also responsible for the Commission Expert Group on Clusters. Annalisa has previously worked on European standardisation, following the implementation of legal obligations concerning the involvement of SMEs and other underrepresented stakeholders.
Before joining the European Commission, she has worked in the private sector as project consultant, focusing on cross-border cooperation funding programmes and national support schemes for SMEs.
Annalisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Italian and European law and a Master’s degree in European, Comparative and International law, and has been admitted to practice as an attorney at law by the Italian bar.
