Elena de Benavides currently heads the Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship area of RETIT, the technology company from which the Red Eléctrica Group channels the innovation challenges for energy transition and telecommunications development. Elena has developed her entire career linked to innovation environments, first in strategic consulting, and later as an entrepreneur; where among others, she co-founded a biotechnology company which, in addition to being one of the great promises of the industry, earned her the recognition of the TR35 of MIT as one of the main national entrepreneurs under 35 years of age. The economist's step into the world of investment in innovation was through venture capital, joining the Gala Capital group where for 6 years she directed the Venture Capital area to lead investment in technology companies.
Today, Elena collaborates in the promotion and diffusion of entrepreneurship and innovation with organizations and institutions such as Google, IE, IESE, Deusto, Techonolyreview or MIT.
