Transfiere 2026

Málaga, 4 june 2026.- From 10 to 12 March 2027, Málaga will once again bring together the international innovation ecosystem at Transfiere, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, which promotes a balanced collaboration model aimed to strengthen economic competitiveness and industrial development, as well as driving forward real innovation projects. In this edition, the forum will consolidate its quadruple helix model, bringing together companies that apply, develop and scale solutions; intermediary organisations that connect capabilities and facilitate knowledge transfer; academia, which generates knowledge with strong application potential; and, public authorities that strategically promote, regulate and fund innovation will establish connections capable of leading to agreements, market opportunities and long-term collaboration.

In this regard, Transfiere will continue to strengthen its position as one of Europe’s leading platforms for knowledge transfer and applied innovation, providing a permanent framework for collaborative working within Spain’s R&D&I ecosystem while aligning with European priorities on competitiveness, technological sovereignty and social impact.

Transfiere 2027 will boost its focus on innovative businesses by providing direct access to mature, market-ready scientific and technological capabilities, connections with funding and investment opportunities, and initiatives linked to Public Procurement of Innovation and collaborative project development. The event will also continue to reinforce the role of intermediary organisations as key players in knowledge transfer processes and in the development of innovation ecosystems.

Universities and research centres will play a prominent role as sources of transferable knowledge, in an edition that will continue to promote internationalisation and links between science and industry. Furthermore, public authorities will find in Transfiere an operational environment for aligning multi-level strategies and developing regional initiatives focused on innovation and technology.

Among the new features of this edition, Transfiere will introduce several emerging and strategically important thematic areas. The forum will focus on emerging and strategic areas such as deep tech and entrepreneurship, computational deep tech, biotechnology and health, research security and energy sovereignty. These topics will complement the well-established themes already embedded in the programme, including artificial intelligence, dual-use technologies, sustainability, advanced materials and Public Procurement of Innovation. In addition, Transfiere will host the OTC-CRUE Network Conference, reinforcing the role of technology transfer offices and universities within the national innovation system.
