Transfiere, the European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation, which holds its 2024 event on 20, 21 and 22 March in FYCMA (Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga), will bring together professionals, companies, organisations, public administrations and academics to network and promote scientific and technological development as an element of competitiveness, growth and progress.

Open innovation, investment, entrepreneurship, internationalisation, financing, public-private and private-public collaboration, and business traction will be the focus of this year’s major European event on R&D&I and knowledge transfer. The forum will promote the interconnection of the Spanish innovation system and its international projection, generating global alliances and synergies.

Transfiere 2024 will serve as a meeting place for foreign investors in search of Spanish innovation and showcase the various regional innovation policies presented by the autonomous communities. Once again, the forum shows its strong commitment to talent and innovative entrepreneurship, offering real options for employment, collaboration and funding. It will also host a large exhibition area with companies, organisations and public administrations showcasing their services, solutions, and innovative projects.

Content programme

More than 400 international experts on innovation will participate in the ‘International Innovation Programme’, one of the most important agendas for the global R&D&I ecosystem. There will be presentations on issues like European fund management, Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI), the Corporate Venturing entrepreneurship model and new forms of investment. Other topics will include the Startups Act, the impact of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and the coordination of innovation policies promoted by different regions at the national level through the involvement of autonomous communities.

Furthermore, in addition to the exhibition area, Transfiere will have a Research Center space with prototypes from research groups, technology centres and public and private companies. There will also be networking spaces and the return of its Open Call for Deep Tech Start-ups, coordinated with EEN and EBAN. The IX Journalism Award “Transfiere Forum” will also be held to recognise the best journalistic contributions to the dissemination of science, technology, and innovation.

Transfiere is organised by Malaga City Council; the Andalusian Regional Government through the Regional Ministry of University, Research and Innovation and the Business Agency for Economic Transformation and Development (TRADE); and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
