Transfiere hosts the III Global Innopolis Network Initiative (GINI) Forum and the High-Level Leaders Assembly

Around 60 participants from six cities and regions worldwide have presented joint scientific projects, strategic initiatives and organised workshops on university collaboration, international investment, R&D and artificial intelligence

The councillor for Innovation, Digitalisation and Investment Attraction of the Málaga City Council, Alicia Izquierdo; the director of International Relations of the City of Dortmund, Martin van der Pütten; the director of Economic Development and Special Projects for Montgomery County Executive Office, Judith Costello; the director of the Quebec Government Office in the Iberian Peninsula, Mael-Solen Picard; the CEO of Greater Seattle Partners, Josh Davis; and the Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy and Scientific Affairs of Daejeon Metropolitan City Council and Acting President of GINI, Sung A Choi, today reported on the III Forum of the Global Innopolis Network Initiative (GINI) and the High-Level Leaders’ Assembly, which are taking place within the framework of Transfiere at FYCMA.

Around 60 representatives from six cities and regions around the world presented joint scientific projects and strategic initiatives and organized workshops focused on university collaboration, international investment, R&D, and artificial intelligence.

Since its founding in 2023, GINI has brought together similar size cities and regions from around the world that are leaders in R&D and innovation, including Daejeon (South Korea), Dortmund (Germany), Málaga (Spain), Montgomery County (USA), the Province of Quebec (Canada) and Seattle (USA). Every two years, the network meets in person for the Global Innopolis Forum, which in 2026 has chosen Malaga as its venue.
